OpenSpecy is a free, web-based application for analyzing Raman and infrared spectroscopy data. The Moore Plastic Research Institute developed this tool to make spectroscopy analysis accessible to researchers worldwide. It processes raw spectra and identifies material composition from spectroscopic signatures.

The application uses spectral libraries to match unknown samples against reference materials. Furthermore, it automates peak identification and background correction. Users upload spectroscopy data files and receive material identification results without expensive software licenses.
