EAS-E Suite — Chemical Risk Assessment

Exposure and Safety Estimation Suite

Description

About EAS-E Suite

EAS-E Suite is an open-access platform developed by ARC Arnot Consulting & Research. It estimates chemical hazards, exposure, and risk at screening-level scales. The suite addresses a critical gap in assessing plastic-associated chemicals across environmental compartments.

The tool quantifies relationships between chemical production volumes, partitioning properties, degradation rates, and fate and transport in natural and manufactured environments. Furthermore, it models human and ecological exposures using bioaccumulation and physiologically based toxicokinetic (PBTK) models.

Key Features

  • Also includes chemical information databases with production volume and physicochemical data.
  • Furthermore, quantitative structure-activity relationships (QSARs) predict chemical properties when experimental data are unavailable.
  • In addition, users access built-in databases that provide initial parameter values for fate and transport models.
  • Additionally, the platform contains bioaccumulation and PBTK models coded for direct application to plastic additives and degradation products.
  • Moreover, screening-level risk estimation integrates exposure and hazard data across drinking water, sediment, and human health endpoints.

Access and Data

EAS-E Suite is fully open access with open data. Researchers access the platform and chemical databases directly through ARC’s website. The tool supports environmental fate and exposure modeling, chemical hazard characterization, and rapid screening of plastic-associated chemicals.
